LG Electronics has already begun preparing for the CES 2018, which will be held from 9 to 12 January in Las Vegas. It announced plans to present an updated line of Gram notebooks.

They will increase lifetime and mobility. Moreover, new laptops get improved processors; their functionality is promised to be more versatile.

As noted, nowadays LG Gram laptops are still the easiest for newbies among all available on the market. Its battery has a capacity equal to 72 Wh/h as compared with 2017 models with 60 Wh/h. It allows users to work the whole day. Actually, the duration of the work without charging is stated to be around 22.5 hours for the 13.3-inch version, for the 14-inch version – 21.5 hours, for the 15-inch version – 19 hours. The weight of models with 13.3- and 14-inch displays is about 1 kg, and the 15-inch version slightly exceeds 1 kg.

New products will be equipped with Intel Core i7 and i5 processors and SSD-drives. Due to this, as claimed, the performance of laptops is increased to 40%, while the launch time is less than 10 seconds. There is also one more slot available for installing SSDs.

The laptops are produced in accordance with the standard MIL-STD 810G for hits- and temperature-resistance. The body is made of metal alloy Nano Carbon Magnesium. As a result, new device gets an increase in strength by 20% as compared with common magnesium alloy products.

The new LG gram series also offers many convenient functions: a backlit keyboard, a touchpad with a more precise controlling system, a webcam, DTS Headphone X support and an improved fan that works quieter.

For LG gram, the touchscreen, fingerprint reader, and Thunderbolt 3 port will be offered as additional options. Thanks to the new IPS In-cell Touch technology from LG, laptops will save their compact size by adding a touchscreen. The fingerprint reader allows you to simultaneously turn on the laptop and enter the system.

In the US, the release of new LG Gram notebooks is scheduled on January; in other countries, devices will appear on sale, probably later.
